Privacy notice
Last updated: 5 November 2026
This notice explains what personal information Planning 4 Homes collects, why, who it is shared with and your rights.
Who we are
Planning 4 Homes (planning4homes.com) is run by NNBC Holdings Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 11610961, registered office 8 Angola Road, Worthing, BN14 8DT. We are the controller of the personal information described here.
Contact us about privacy at support@planning4homes.com.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and a unique account ID. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. If you use email and password, your password is held in encrypted form by our sign-in provider; we never see it.
- Property checks: the postcode, the address you select from the address list (with its Unique Property Reference Number, UPRN) or type in, the point you mark on the map, your project type and property type, and the date of the check.
- Reports: the report we create for a property, which includes the address and location you gave us.
- Payments: a record of each payment (amount, date, status, the Stripe reference, your email address and the property it was for). Card details are entered on Stripe's payment page and are never sent to us.
- Support emails: anything you send to our support address.
- Technical information: our hosting, sign-in and server providers keep short-lived logs (such as IP address, browser type and time of request) to run the service securely.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To provide the service you ask for (your account, checks, reports and payments): this is necessary for our contract with you.
- To keep the service secure, prevent fraud and fix problems: our legitimate interests in running a safe, working service.
- To keep financial records: our legal obligations, for example to HM Revenue & Customs.
- To answer your questions: our legitimate interests, or our contract with you.
We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or make decisions about you by automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects. The constraint report is produced automatically from public data about a location, not about you.
Who we share it with
We use the following providers to run the service. They only use your information to provide their service to us.
- Google (Firebase and Google Cloud): website hosting, sign-in, our database and server functions. Our database is stored in London; some processing happens in the United States.
- Stripe: payments. Stripe receives your email address, the property address and your card details on its payment page. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare and Google (Gmail): our domain and support email.
To show your address list and build your report we look up the postcode and location (map coordinates and postcode, never your name or email) in these public services:
- Ordnance Survey, OS Places API (the address list for your postcode; we send only the postcode)
- postcodes.io (postcode lookup)
- planning.data.gov.uk (Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government)
- the Environment Agency's flood risk data
When you view a map, your browser loads map images from OpenStreetMap. It also loads fonts from Google Fonts and a map library from Cloudflare (cdnjs). These providers receive your IP address as part of that request.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or with professional advisers.
International transfers
Some of our providers (Google and Stripe) process data in the United States. Where this happens, transfers are protected by recognised safeguards: the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Account, checks and reports: for as long as you have an account. You can delete a check from your dashboard. Ask us and we will delete your account and the reports linked to it.
- Payment records: six years after the end of the financial year of the payment, to meet tax and accounting rules.
- Support emails: up to two years after the conversation ends.
- Server logs: kept by our providers for a short period, normally no more than 30 days.
Cookies and similar storage
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Our sign-in provider stores a sign-in token in your browser so you stay signed in. Stripe sets its own cookies on its payment page to prevent fraud. These are strictly necessary, so we do not ask for consent for them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your information;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- send it to you or another organisation in a portable format.
Email support@planning4homes.com. We will reply within one month. There is normally no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, telephone 0303 123 1113.
Children
The service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
