    Questions

    Good to know

Is this the same as getting planning permission?

No. The report is a guide to help you understand your property before you spend money on plans. Only your council can grant planning permission or a Lawful Development Certificate. The report tells you which route is likely and what to ask.

Where does the data come from?

Official sources: planning.data.gov.uk (Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government), the Environment Agency, the National Heritage List for England, the energy performance certificate register and Ordnance Survey addresses. Some datasets are supplied by councils and are not complete everywhere, and the report says so where that applies.

    Which areas do you cover?

England only. Planning rules are different in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

What if my home has no energy certificate?

Certificates are only made when a home is built, sold or let, so not every home has one. The rest of the report is not affected.

    Can I cancel?

Your report is made as soon as you generate it, so you are asked to confirm that you want it straight away and that you lose the 14-day right to cancel once it is made. If something is wrong with your report, email support@planning4homes.com. See our terms.
